Nic has been working as a professional garden writer for the past five years. She writes and edits for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine and has written features for other gardening publications such as The English Garden and the RHS magazine The Garden. She is also the garden writer for Hertfordshire Life Magazine.

Nic is a member of the Garden Media Guild. In 2019, she was a finalist in the Beth Chatto Environmental Award for her work on peat-free gardening.
Her Peat Free Nurseries List has been accessed over 20,000 times and has been referenced by the Wildlife Trusts and The Independent. She wrote a case study on the list for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for COP26.
Nic has written features on a range of topics including wildlife gardening, environmental issues, historic gardens and growing your own, as well as plant profiles, comment pieces and book reviews.
